Annual Dinner - Friday 9th November, 7pm - Glenmore House, Surbiton
Join us for our largest event of the year - our Annual Dinner with special guest Chris Skidmore MP. Chris is the Member of Parliament for Kingswood and earlier this year was named the Conservative Party's Vice Chairman for Policy. In this role, Chris chairs the new Policy Commission which will set out a Conservative vision for Britain in the 2020s. Chris is also an accomplished historian and is the author of four books on Tudor England.
This promises to be a very interesting talk followed by - as always - a lively question and answer session.
Tickets are £60, which includes a three-course dinner, arrival drink and wine for the table. Dress code is semi-formal (black tie optional).
Tickets can be bought using our very simple new online payments system - just click on the link below - or by other means (cheque, bank transfer etc) by calling the office on 020 8546 6367.
Looking forward to seeing you there!https://www.kingstonconservatives.com/event/annual-dinner-with-chris-sk…
Chairman's Message
With the LibDem council administration lurching from one chaotic situation to the next, our work to hold them to account and to develop the Conservative presence in Kingston continues at pace. There's a determined feeling among our activists and a strong will to win back both the Parliamentary seat and control of the council.
We are recruiting new members, designing campaigns and strengthening our Association. In recent weeks we have launched two important projects - local branches of Conservative Policy Forum and Young Conservatives.
Conservative Policy Forum gives members an official way of feeding back their views on the issues of the day to the central party and the government. Our first meeting generated some really enlightening discussion and I am looking forward to the next.
Young Conservatives are an essential part of any Association and I am delighted that we now have a branch in Kingston.
But there is always a lot more work to be done and we need your support. With history-making events taking place in the country right now, there has rarely been a more important time to be a member of the Conservative Party.
If you want to help the party - whether by campaigning locally, helping in the office, running for election, supporting our management team or anything else - I'd love to hear from you - [email protected].
But it's a two-way process - we want to support our members and supporters. Perhaps you have an idea for a community project you want to get off the ground, or a local issue you want help with. Again, please get in touch.
Finally, I look forward to seeing you at our 2018 Annual Dinner with Chris Skidmore MP (details above). It promises to be a fun and interesting evening with a great speaker and great company.
Kind regards,
Nicholas Rogers
Chairman - Kingston & Surbiton Conservative Association
