Zac Goldsmith MP met with Chief Superintendent Sally Benatar to discuss crime in his constituency of Richmond Park and North Kingston on Friday 5th April in his office in East Sheen.
Chief Superintendent Sally Benatar is the Commander of the South West Borough Basic Command Unit (BCU) which covers Kingston, Richmond, Merton and Wandsworth.
Zac raised a wide range of residents’ concerns, including an increase in burglaries and muggings. Crime rates have risen over all of Greater London and Zac welcomed the opportunity to discuss what steps the police are taking locally to protect and reassure residents.
Zac said: “It is always extremely useful to meet Sally and her team both to hear more about the steps they are taking to tackle crime in our area, and to hear directly from the police about their own concerns in relation to resources.”
