When Boris Johnson put the UK into lockdown on 23rd March, he said it would last for an initial three weeks. Since then, the UK population has kept to the lockdown stipulated by the government, maintaining social distancing, working from home and doing everything possible to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.
But at what cost? When the time is right, what is the best route out of lockdown, and back to economic growth and recovery?
How should the UK government relax the rules and reopen an economy that's been all but shut down by the virus?
We are joined by eminent economist and commentator Julian Jessop.
